Prioritise Your Recovery with Talbot Fitness Carlow
The Recovery Hub at Talbot Fitness Carlow is designed to help you perform at your best. Whether you're involved in sports, fitness, managing pain, or simply looking to relax, our state-of-the-art facilities will enhance your recovery journey.
Our normatec compression boots are trusted by elite athletes and fitness enthusiasts around the world. These advanced compression boots effectively reduce pain, inflammation, and muscle soreness while accelerating recovery, making them an excellent choice for lymphatic drainage.
How do they work?
Normatec compression boots use dynamic air compression to massage your legs, enhance circulation and mobilize fluid. The process begins with a pre-inflate cycle that conforms to your specific body shape. The boots then compress your feet and progressively move up your legs, delivering a soothing, wave-like massage. We recommend using the boots for 30 minutes!
Who should use the Recovery Hub?
The Recovery Hub is frequently used by sports teams, including GAA and LHGFA players, soccer players, rugby players, and running enthusiasts. However, it's open to everyone! We especially recommend using the Recovery Hub to anyone post-workout, particularly those who are new to the gym or have had a particularly tough session!
The risks and benefits of using the normatec compression boots are similar to those of a massage. If you find it uncomfortable, let us know, and we will reduce the intensity, or you can stop the session. We advise against using the Recovery Hub if you relate to any of the following conditions:
- Acute pulmonary edema
- Acute thrombophlebitis
- Acute congestive cardiac failure
- Acute infections
- Deep vein thrombosis
- Episodes of pulmonary embolism
- Wounds, lesions, or tumours on the legs or feet
- Situations where increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable
- Bone fractures or dislocations on the legs or feet
